Why Hire a Nutritionist?

If you are wondering that question, you aren’t alone. Believe it or not, when I first graduated from my studies in holistic nutrition, I had to ask myself the very same question.

These days, thanks to the internet our access to information is endless! Google any nutrition related question and you will get countless answers.

And although we are fortunate enough to have limitless information at our fingertips, it doesn’t always mean all of our problem are solved. Because having the information is one thing, creating the roadmap to make the information work for you is another.

Ever known exactly what you had to do, but just weren’t able to do it?

These days our information overload has led to a lot of stressed out, confused, and overwhelmed people – constantly trying to do it “right” but always feeling like they are failing.

Have you tried every diet or lifestyle change under the sun, but found yourself back at the same place each time?

That is where the real power of a nutrition coach comes in.

More than me telling you what to do, my role as your coach is about figuring out what you truly want to do and helping you to clarify and create the steps to get there while holding you accountable.

Have you ever thought to yourself “I just don’t know what works best for ME?”

Above and beyond anything, this can be the most difficult question to answer – and doing it alone can feel impossible.

So how does a nutrition coach help with that? Well here are just a few of the things that make our role important in helping you tackle your nutrition challenges:

  • Education - de-clutter and clarify the nutrition information overload

  • Clarity - identify your nutritional challenges and unsupportive behaviors

  • Goal Setting - create health goals that align with your values

  • Action Plan – create a road map that works for you and that you can follow

  • Problem solving – create strategies to manage difficult food-related situations

  • Accountability – act as your cheerleader and motivator

  • Sounding Board – help you regain trust, confidence and intuition when it comes to food

While each nutritionist works differently, and has a different focus, the above reflects how I believe my power as a nutrition coach truly comes into play.

The key takeaway is that when you work with a nutrition coach it is all about YOU and that you know you will have someone alongside you 100% cheering you on to achieve your goals.
